Whenever people ask me about my weekend I always want to start off my reply with Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" but I don't because I don't want people to think I am totally crazy but I hope you sang it in your head when you read the title. Our weekend was great and we kicked it off by doing something I have never done before:
I was pumped when Kim called and asked if we wanted to go because I had never been and with school starting this week I thought it would be a perfect way to wrap up our summer! We did all of the typical fair activities {well, duh} including outrageously priced food, awesome lemonades, fried Oreo's, and a ride on the ferris wheel. I loved going to the fair and cannot believe I have never been before!

The produce they had on display was crazy! It made me wish {a teeny tiny bit} that I had a garden and could grow these funky things!
Let's talk about how we thought about going on this ride {for one second, Alan does not do heights} but this ride was stopped like this for a good minute or so. AND THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THE SEATS ON TOP! I would have freaked had I been stuck up there. FREA. KED.

{Pardon the colors & quality} You'd never be able to tell from this photo but we are on the ferris wheel and Alan is so nervous! He hates heights and I will probably never get him on one again but I will treasure this photo forever since he really didn't want to go- but he did for me.
And because you know you've always wanted to be a carnie, they are hiring! There you go! What'd you do this weekend?
You had never been to the state fair before?! Definitely pricey, but a lot of fun!
