When I saw this on Pinterest I had to have it. I am currently loving anything that looks like an Aspen tree and thought this was so fun and a different spin on a fall wreath. I was super bummed when I clicked on the link and it was only an image. But then I thought "Well duh, I can figure it out!" So I went straight to the craft store and used the photo as a reference and purchased all of the supplies for just over $10. It seriously was so easy and fun I wanted to share it with you today! Here is what you need:
I snagged a regular size thing of yarn (the Vanna White brand- which made me laugh so hard when I saw it) and the wreath frame is an 8" one. I wanted to use felt for the flowers but Joann's didn't have the right colors so I found the perfect colors in fabric and asked the lady for the least amount she could give me (which was 1/8 of a yard- this ended up being cheaper than the felt anyway! Score).
The colors I used for the flowers are navy blue, a dusty rose, and gray. To turn the fabric into the flowers was super easy and quick. I cut about 8 circles out in the gray and rose; only 6 in the navy since I wanted it smaller. I used one of the circle as the base to hot glue the others to. I put a pencil in the center of the circle and folded it around, pulled the pencil out, and put a dot of hot glue on the tip. Then I stuck it on the base circle, starting from the center and working out. (If that makes zero sense, I just modified this tutorial). At this point I also cut 4 triangles out of each fabric and hot glued them to a strand of yarn to make the banner. (Sorry! Spaced taking a photo of that part).
This is the longest part but I just put on Safe Haven and watched that while I wrapped and wrapped and wrapped and... you get the picture. I put a dot of hot glue on the frame to start it out and when I ended I just placed another dot of glue and secured the yarn with that. After that I glued the flowers and the banner on and
I couldn't be more pleased with how this turned out and how easy it was! It would be super easy to modify it for any season and color scheme! I hope you enjoyed this little post and make sure to link yours up if you make one!
