Flat Iron Curls

On my 18th birthday I was exposed to curling your hair with a flat iron as my best friends mom did it to my hair for my party. Ever since then I have tried to learn it myself but failed miserably! Until I saw this tutorial. This girl is awesome, make sure to check out the rest of her blog! I tried this the other day and it worked pretty good, but my straightener has jewels and stuff on the outside so it made the curls sort of kinky. But last night I got this little beauty for free thanks to ULTA beauty!

I had my hair in curls yesterday but fixed it this morning with my new toy. This is how it turned out:

What do you think? I am definitely still mastering it art of curling with a flat iron, but I am hooked! It makes the curls a bit more relaxed and beachy, which I have always wanted! Check out the tutorial above, try it out, and let me know what you think! 

UPDATE!! Since this day I have gone back to curling my hair with a 1" curling iron and really love those curls way better... The straightener curls look good but take me way too long do to so I will stick with the curling iron
