April 1st was my second wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast these last 2 years have gone and how incredibly blessed I am to have Alan in my life forever. Each year Al and I switch off who plans Valentine's Day and our anniversary and this year he did Valentine's so it was my turn to come up with something fun for our 2 year mark. The day of our actual anniversary was on a Monday so I decided that we would spend the weekend before in Park City. But before we left to go up there, my final for my Studio Design class was due. The entire semester we have been working on a remodel for a cute couple that wanted their house updated. The group I worked with was awesome and we had a great time doing this project. One of the girls and I decided that we needed to get together before we presented our final and celebrate all of our hard work so we did so with a breakfast buffet. Here are some snaps of that morning.
Our design team. (Thanks Hollie, Ale, Joslyn, Brianna, and Heather!)
Heather had these cute decorations and brought all of the food. She throws one heck of a party!
I came up with the name and logo for our team (4&Two because there were 4 brunettes and 2 blondes in our design team! I thought it was clever and we used it every where haha)
Seriously, Heather can throw an awesome party and I was thrilled to help her put it together.
We wanted our client's to remember us so we gave them some of our goodies and ended our presentation by giving them this plant to place in their updated living space. This project was a lot of hard work but a lot of fun. Thanks girls for everything!
*A week later we found out our client's picked our design and will be updating their house and floor plan based on our recommendations. Ecstatic!
After class Alan and I headed up to Park City to start our fun weekend. We had an awesome room with a great view. It was perfect weather and nice to be so close to the mountains.
After settling in we decided to visit Main Street PC. We shop at the outlets a lot but had never gone to Main Street. It was really fun and I was hoping to see someone famous while we were there- we didn't. Bummer. However we did see a lot of fun things in all sorts of shops and wished we had a million dollars to spend there.
*You're
We went to dinner at a cute little local pizza place called Park City Pizza Co. Really fun place and great food! And mostly I just love this guy.
The next day we shopped more at the outlets and then drove up in the canyon. It was really pretty and fun- until Alan told be the story of seeing a bear up there last time he was there and decided several minutes later to yell "Bear!" Totally freaked me out but we laughed so hard we were both crying.
Alan taught me how to penny surf and I kept this penny going down the entire canyon. Oh. Yeah!
We had a fun little weekend and I had great plans for our actual anniversary on Monday. However, none of them panned out so Monday was a bit of a bust. For your information- LDS Temples are closed on Mondays. Even early, early in the morning. And sometimes you just need to cry but on your anniversary is not a good time to have a melt down haha! But most importantly I have my Al and am so in love with him and can't imagine one day of my life with him! I love you Al. Happy 2 Years.

Just to let you know, the Salt Lake Temple is open on Mondays from 7:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. I don't know if that would have been early enough for you but for future reference!
ReplyDeletePaula this is so helpful thanks! When I called they said they were only open Tuesday-Saturday but that is so good to know that they are actually open that early! You rock thanks!
