A few days ago my sister and I decided to throw a New Year's Eve party which included playing Just Dance 4 and making finger food and goodies. We also decided to make our own photo booth and props! We talked about it every day and could not wait for the day to come so we could get our party on!
Our day started reeeeally early: 4:45 AM to be exact, as our missionary called home! My brother Joe was leaving the MTC and heading to New Jersey yesterday, so he got to call us before his flight left. It was so great to talk to him and hear how excited he is to share the Gospel and serve the people there. I wish him the best of luck and can't wait to hear from him again.
After going back to bed for a few hours, it was up and at 'em as Amanda and I got our everything ready for our party! Cleaning, errands, crafting, and cooking it was time for out party to begin! It was just a little gathering, my parents and siblings and Alan's sister Jackie, but sometimes the most intimate parties are the best! Here is a glimpse of our night:
If you have never played Just Dance, you need to. Now. So much fun to dance and sing like crazy. Best part of the night was getting Mom to dance with us to Pink's So What and Dad to do Superstition. So. Great.
You know, just Taylor Swift singin and us waiting for the ball to drop. We got an email from Elder Maloy during the evening just letting us all know he made it to New Jersey. And a must, writing some New Year's Resolutions.
Here are some snap shots from our home made photo booth! Can't wait to print these babies out and display them during the year. We ended the night by writing down our resolutions, which for me included getting in super good shape, not nagging Al while he drives, and blogging more. What are yours? We hope you all had a great 2012 and have the best 2013 ever!
